Changing Fonts, Contemplating BlogHerAds, Introducing Category Feeds, and Soliciting Questions

• I agree with the majority; I like the sans-serif font. So it's back! But, I've decided to keep the serif for my post titles. I think it works, especially since my title graphics use a serif font.



• On a lark, I submitted my site for BlogHerAds. It was supposed to take 30-60 days for them to decide whether to approve me -- it took under 4 hours. I'm not going to imagine that my site was so perfectly right for BlogHer's ad network that they couldn't wait to approve me; they probably just weren't very busy just then. But now it's suddenly a very real prospect. They want me to print, sign and fax back their forms, and then I'll have to actually add the code to my site. I keep asking myself whether this is going to be nonsense that clutters up my layout, or an actual opportunity to make money from my blog. Barbara has BlogHerAds, so it must be worth it to her. But she has a far larger readership than mine. Sigh, I just don't know. I guess I'll go for it.



• BTW, I keep meaning to tell you, you can now subscribe to RSS feeds for each of my categories. For example, if you are only interested in my photo posts and couldn't care less about the rest of it, you can just subscribe to my photography feed. You can find the feeds for each category by going to the archives for that category.



• There will be a new category (with accompanying feed) for my new blogging and internet help column. I'm thinking I'm going to call it "How Do I... ?" But the first thing I need is some questions! So ask away! What do you wish you knew how to do? Anything blogging, social media, or internet related.
