I almost do have a child for every day of the week!

said that next time I should arrange my photos to the Mother Goose nursery rhyme, Monday's Child is Fair of Face. I didn't actually know the words, and when I looked it up, the page I found with the rhyme also had a calculator for finding out what day of the week you were born.

"Wouldn't it be fun if my kids were all born on different days of the week?" I thought. (No, that isn't something I happen to know off the top of my head.) So I started entering birthdates:

Anna was born on a Friday.1
Aoghdan was born on a Wednesday.
Seamus was born on a Tuesday.
Hamish was born on a Monday.2
Sinead was born on a Thursday.
Aisling was born on a Monday. Darn!
And Diarmuid was born on a Sunday.

If Aisling could have just been born on a Saturday, it would be perfect! Wouldn't that have been cool?

BTW, Mark and I were both born on Friday, which is interesting since we are both firstborn children. So is Anna, also born on a Friday. Hmmm.

1. I knew that, actually, Friday the 13th!
2. I remember this one, too, since we left church early to go to the hospital on Sunday.
