Beautiful Blogger Award!

I've been given an award!



My lovely and kind friend Julie gave me this Beautiful Blogger award... about a month ago. And I saw it, and I thought, "Oh, that's so sweet! I'll come back and thank her and write up the post when I have a minute!" And then I totally forgot.

Hrmmm... I hope that doesn't disqualify me from being a Beautiful Blogger! Maybe I could still be an Okay Blogger, or a Nice When She Remembers Blogger, huh?

Before I forget again, I have a few duties as a Hopes She's Still Beautiful Blogger.

4. Enumerate seven interesting things about myself.
Clearly they mean besides my tendencies towards absent-mindedness. I'll try to think of something you can't find in my sidebar, LOL!

1. I hate wearing long sleeves, or three-quarter sleeves around the house. I always roll the sleeves up to get them out of my way, but the feel of the rolled-up part on my arms makes me crazy.
2. I sometimes think I am the only housewife / stay-at-home-mom type who doesn't like cooking, sewing, knitting, or anything crafty. I just don't *make* things. I'd honestly rather do the laundry!
3. Like Julie, I also saw the Tour de France up close and live. Not in Paris, though... I think it was in Treignac or Toulouse. I don't really remember since, at the time, it didn't seem interesting. Just guys on bikes.
4. I attended my 10 year high school reunion last summer. I had to explain several times how it was that I had a 10 year old son and an 11 year old daughter.
5. I keep a running list in my head of Things You Never Said Before You Had Kids like, "Thank you, but Mommy doesn't want any rice up her nose."
6. I'm allergic to some medication that I was given while ill in France, but I don't know what it is. The doctor who gave it to me didn't speak English, I didn't speak French, and my friend didn't really know how to translate the name of the medication. The doctor did assure me that it isn't used in the United States. Plus, all it did was make me throw up.
7. I'm considering doing a giveaway on my blog next month, to celebrate my 10 year bloggiversary. I haven't decided between some kind of photo gift, or one of my mother-in-law's homemade soap gift baskets. (I guess it depends on whether she is able to make me a gift basket in time!)
