Anna's 10th Birthday at the Houston Livestock Show

We spent Saturday celebrating Anna's 10th birthday by visiting the Houston Livestock Show. (We didn't actually see the rodeo and concert because it ends much too late for such small children.) We visited booths, petted small livestock, saw prize bulls, ate yummy snacks, and rode rides and played games at the carnival.


This week's theme for Invisible Beautiful is Depth of Field. I was very happy about the way the depth of field worked out in this photo:



It's almost impossible to take a photo in such a crowded venue without other people in the background, and the crowd of legs doesn't add much to this picture. But because of a shallow depth of field, the focus is still on my boys. Sure, I wish the other people weren't there, but at least I didn't have to trash the photo.
