Day 39 of Project365. I think my camera is dying, as it refuses to select a shutter speed of faster than 1/200s while I am using the flash. This could be bad news for my Project365.

Day 38 of Project365. We saw this sign outside of a Mexican restaurant. It was intended to mean 20% off your bill for dinner, but it sure looks like they're offering cheap drinks for church-goers! LOL.

Day 35 of Project365. Theme: Around the House. I was peeking over the kitchen bar, secretively snapping shots of Aisling picking her nose at the dinner table. When I showed Aisling the pictures, she was not even remotely embarrassed. Instead she shoved her finger up her nose and told me to take another one. LOL, gotta love a three year old. ;)

Day 33 of Project365. Theme: Around the House. I've changed my theme for February since discovering that when I import my RAW files into Lightroom it *undoes* some of my in camera adjustments! That makes SOOC pretty pointless, doesn't it? So instead I present you with this photo of clean dishes in the sink. And in case you are wondering, yes, I put clean dishes into soapy water just to get this photo. ;)

My calendar mosaic for my January 2010 Project365 photos.
Day 32 of Project365. Theme: SOOC. I'm warning you now, my theme for February is SOOC. If you don't know what that means, it's "Straight Out Of Camera." That means that after I upload the photo to my computer there's no cropping, no adjustments for white balance or contrast, no special effects. I do add metadata (like this caption) and convert from RAW to JPG, but other than that it's pure photography.

Day 29 of Project365. Theme: Faces. I was involved in a discussion over whether it's ok to use a photo from another day when you don't have any inspiration or time to take a new one. For some people that might be fine, but for me it defeats what I am trying to do. Tonight I am tired and totally uninspired. Last night I was taking photos of the illustrations in one of the kids' books, but I didn't use any. Since I didn't want to cheat, LOL, I retook them. This time I practiced using manual focus. (The illustration was soft to start.)
